Flank with roasted veggies done in "Jim's BBQ Bag of Happiness"

Salmon filet and balsamic glaze with grilled zukes and wild rice medley. My dad lost a chunk of an ornamental cherry tree in the blizzards and I used some of that with this cook. A much lighter smoke than the black cherry I've been using, and very floral. It was delicious and didn't overpower the salmon.

I'll bite. What is Jim's BBQ BOH?

Your cooks look great. I use ornamental cherry quite often because we had some major limb trimmage last year and I have lots of it. I also use a lot of apple. I must admit I have such an unsophisticated palate I can't really discern the difference... never mind "floral notes". Perhaps I am suffering the prolonged effects of inhaling too much in my misspent youth? Although I don't know how I could enjoy smoked Q more, I am always envious of people who can detect subtle differences in tastes... whether wood smoke, wine, or cigars.

BBQ Bag of Happiness is nothing more than a foil "bag" full of peppers, onions and potatoes. Just add some EVOO and/or butter, salt, pepper and other seasonings as desired.

I'll admit; smoke flavor for me is usually described as "strong" or "not so strong". Though the black cherry does give off some sweetness. The floral notes hit me right away though with the ornamental.

Are you in this business or just eat up with experience?

Thanks Glenn. Not in the biz; but taught, motivated, and inspired by a lot of the folks on these boards.
