I appreciate the feedback, Josh. I think as John-NY said, I had gotten to the point of splitting hairs. $81.59 is significantly less than the $128 that BBQparts.com wants. To Jim Weber's point, I think for that price difference, I can live with the center support bar when using the Chargon.

The most important thing to me is the quality of the SS. I think bbqparts is probably 304 SS as it claims to be but there is no regulation on these claims so without testing it's hard to say for sure. Big difference between cheep low grade SS and quality SS so it's nice to know what you are getting.

From my testing, I would say both of these - at least at the time when I tested - are high quality, non-magnetic 304 stainless. BBQParts.com is a very good company for us grill restorers. Qlimetal is deserving of accolades as well as they are definitely a cut above almost all of their Asian import competition.

I ordered another set of Qulimetal 9mm at yesterday's sale price. Excellent quality, craftsmanship and even the packaging is quality and professional. Ordered in the morning and they arrived same day in the evening yesterday.



I would still take one of my sets of 9930s over them in a heartbeat but when these are on sale for about 80 bucks it's a no-brainer easy second place choice for me.
