Ssp Colors - Red Brick or Crimson?

I picked up a ssp the other day and the seller said the color is called Red Brick. I had not heard of that color before on a ssp, but have on a newer stainless Genesis gasser. Is it Red Brick or Crimson?

I beleive it is red brick I have a performer the same color a newer model picture in this thread.

Been looking for awhile found one I liked paid $85.00 which in ATL seemed to be an excellent price seen many always over $150. Its the plum color different for sure, they melted the bottom of the charcoal plastic holder how have no idea could care less, humid here so keep my charcoal in the...

One way to find out is to light a fire attach the bowl it will change color to a deeper red if I remember correctly, someone on here should know about this too.

Looks to be brick red. Here is my brick red kettle for comparison.

I think you are correct ,sometimes hard to tell with photos and lighting.

SSPs came in red,black and green, the brick red or crimson came much later.

I am no help on the color, but I have to say that’s a really good looking grill. I’m rethinking my plan of going with black when I replace mine.

Ron they had a few other colors also: Colors offered in Gen 1 include Black, Red, Red Mist, Dark Green, Dark Blue, Plum, and Grey.

Its not plum which if I saw one would buy it myself never seen one for sale in ATL guessing they are pretty rare unless my eyes are that bad which is possible and the previous owner said it was Brick Red which was not offered until Gen 3 I got this info from WKC history of the Performer. I wonder if maybe it was black and the other owner wanted a color found a Brick Red from a later year and swapped it out as they wanted to keep the SSP and not the Gen 3 who knows it looks nice though.

I forgot about the other colors, the gray and plum would look nice!
