Spare Ribs

Recent spares I did in my 22 1/2" WSM.

275F for about 4 1/2 hours. 3 hours unfoiled then about 1 1/2 hour foiled with squeeze butter, honey and brown sugar, until they passed the toothpick test. I used KBB and chunks of hickory.

I do a very similar rib recipe Bob. The family loves them. As my mother-in-law was knawing on a bone she was telling me how they're the best ribs she ever had. I hope you are hearing the same accolades from those fortunate enough to enjoy your handy work - your ribs look great.

I buy full racks and trim them down myself. I save the cuttings in my freezer and make the tips as a separate meal.
I have a foiled clay flower pot base in the foiled water pan.
My wife, son, and in laws!

I hope you are hearing the same accolades from those fortunate enough to enjoy your handy work - your ribs look great.

You the Mann Bob! Fantastic looking bones!

I pretty much use the same process time;temp;foil. I don't have a wsm; but i also use a clay saucer foiled for the heat shield and drip pan in my modified ecb. Works great.
