We love "meat salads". This one is probably our favorite. Many of you have seen this posted by me A LOT...sorry. This is the first time making it this Spring so some of the newer members may have not seen it before. Here it is.

The grilled players.

My first (and only) chimney that I got when I first started cooking over charcoal--six months or so before finding this site--so, about 4 years old. She's seen better days. May have to replace her soon.

Thanks for looking!

Great looking salad Don!!! We have been using a jalapeño ranch so I bet it was super! Looks like ur chimney is just getting broken in to me!!!

That's a great looking salad, Don. Nothing wrong with that chimney either. My wife cooked once on my kettle and left a full chimney in the grill too long, which caused the handle to melt a little. Just a battle scar, because my almost 4 yr. old chimney is still going strong.

Thanks, everyone!

John Solak - The dressing was store bought but Leigh-Ann added sour cream, lime juice, cilantro, and I think cumin to it. We wanted to take some of the heat out of it since we had the pepper jack in the salad.

Shaun R - It wasn't marinated but there is a rub. I think this is the one Leigh-Ann uses.
