Its been a loooooooong time since I posted here. I've been lurking in the background though, so I figured I'd get going again. My wife surprised me with a Southwest Discada for my birthday a few days ago so today I got it out for a first cook. I Thought for sure this was going to need a good seasoning first but it was ready to roll right out of the box but since I had the bacon I figured I might as well use it. I only used a 1/2 chiminey of Trader Joes but the heating was amazing. 1lb of bacon was done in under 10min. No way am I beating that in the kitchen. First impression is great, tonight i get a stir-fry going. Pics of that later, for now 1lb of goodness
