Sorry to see this apparently fade away.

The HeaterMeter I have is doing the best job possible with my Kamado Joe and has been doing it for a long time now. It sure deserves more attention than it gets. In fact. it works better than my FireBoard Drive system (which I don't even bother to use).

Anyway, just my thoughts and I wanted to say again how much I like the HeaterMeter. Just wanted to show some appreciation for the work involved.

Tom, your correct about the Heatermeter being the best controller out there. Being able to control with a blower and a damper make this the ultimate control. Using the Pi for the smart portion is not found anywhere else from what I can see. There are lots of users and many creative users that have helped make this what it is. The best controller out there. Brian, I know you're out there lurking, so come baaaaaaaaaack and pick up where you left off. This is the best and I don`t see anything out there to dethrone your work.

My first and only HeaterMeter died a while back and I too was bummed to see the project essentially come to an end. I went with the Thermoworks Signals, and it works just fine, but it's just not the same. Thanks for the good times, Brian!

Where can we still get the parts/board? I would love to have another one as mine is cranky from not always bringing back inside after a cook.
This is an open source project. All of the code, PCB files, and parts lists are free for anyone to use. That said, there are some people (including me) around here that still build these for others.

WilburBurns, have you tried a new sd card yet. SD card reliability is an issue with any device that uses them. I have had 2 go flakey with my HM over the years. When it starts doing odd things, i get a new sd card, format it and then install Brians last latest software version on it. After having fun setting of wi-fi, I am ready to go till the new sd gets flakey. Just another thing to remember. SD card cards hate heat.
