I have tried the Frontier briquettes from Menards as well. I liked them and they had them on clearance a couple of weeks ago. $4.50 or so with the 11% refund for a 12 lb. bag. I liked them enough to buy 20 bags to have on hand. Used them to do some chicken quarters earlier this week with the Vortex. They worked fine and had some coals left at the end. The cooled remains tend to crumble some when you try to reuse them. I have been leaving them and pouring fresh coals on top.
