So which day is hotter?

Last week here it was pretty ugly, now, not bad at all, rain in forecast but, should not be too awful. A few years back we went to visit my sister in law in Alabama…113 in the shade if you could find it! Had a “pollen blockage” on the AC drain in the KIA, soaked the floor and increased my blood pressure to say the least!
I hope the weather cooperates overnight for the butt cook for grandsons birthday feast tomorrow.

I once went on vacation in August.
It was 105 in Danville at 4:30 when I left for the SFO airport.
It was 64 at SFO an hour or so later.

I think it’s hot as 🫢 there right now.
We have natural air conditioning where I’m at in the PNW.
Our weather is Peninsula weather very much like California’s peninsula.

What kinda heat index or real feel do you guys get on the left coast?

I see Now: 87, Feels like: 86 which is great.
It’s very different than other places. It’s either warm, warmer or very warm. The humdidity is low so it’s actually comfortable. Like opening a hot oven door. You sweat and dry fairly quickly. And if you’re smart you’re hydrating 24 hours a day. Easily, I can throw back a gallon of water on these days.

Humidity makes heat much harder and more difficult to handle. I prefer this dry heat than say NY or Rome’s humidity. My muscles feel good with the heat. No aches or pains.

It can get really cold in the Sacramento area too.
I worked a night shift there once and I was freezing even with my carhartts and jacket on.

Our Central Valley is a Godsend.
It goes from Redding to Bakersfield and feeds an incredible amount of people.
