Snowing here today, 32 degrees, 50 mph winds, wings and legs on the 14.5 WSM

It is brutal out there, snowing pretty good, 50 mph winds, cold and raw. Fired up the Silver B to do 8 wings for the wife - she doesn't like smoked chicken and then fired up the 14.5 with lump and dumped about 12 KBB on it to get it started.

I am doing 12 wings and 4 large chicken drumsticks with pecan and McCormick Smokehouse Maple rub. Just put them on. I put my water heater blanket around the 14.5. I really couldn't fit much more on the 14.5 but there are only 4 of us eating.

Hard to type my fingers are still frozen!

BBQ season is year round!

Good grief Jeff It's to early for that kind of weather. Hope you guys aren't going to have a winter like last year!
You're a braver soul than I am.

Wind played havoc with my hot and fast wings and drumsticks, had to put them on the grill for the last 10 minutes to try to crisp the skin. I couldn't get the 14.5 above 275 due to the wind

Take out the defuser and take off the door, that's what I do in duck camp and conditions are similar, in fact I love the wind during duck season, but then I like the teals, I don't even shoot mallards, teal & pin tails or nothing :)

Chuck0 - as an aside I collect used Duck Stamps, if you want to get rid of any PM me!

I will try the door off trick

I'll see if I have any old hunting licenses, if I do, I'll pm you for your addy. Been fowl hunting since 1974, gotta have something, lol
