Smoking a Pork Shoulder with skin on

Hey Folk's, I can get a pork shoulder with the skin on at about 9lbs for $10.00 at a local Krogers. My question is should I try to remove the skin before Smoking? If not, should I put it on the grate skin up or down? Also should I turn it over after a few hours? Thanks for th input.
 
Steve, I would cut the skin off as close as possible (then cook it with that side up)..you'll get better bark with the skin cut off imo.
