Smoke wood and nut allergies?

I'm smoking our turkey with pecan wood and one of our guests (I just remembered) is allergic to pecans. Does anyone know if the allergen can be transmitted via smoke wood to the bird? We're doing another turkey in the oven (no smoke), so he'll be able to eat that, but I know he loves my smoked foods, although I don't want to make him sick.

I would google "allergy hot line" and call one in your area to get a answer from someone who would know for sure. Don't want to take a chance on this one.
