TVWBB All-Star
Hi everyone,
It's been a couple months since I last posted anything in the forum. Back in November, my wife, 3-year-old daughter, and I were involved in a car accident where we got rear-ended while parked (legally) on the side of the road. Fortunately, no one got hurt, but our car was totaled. We ended up getting a good deal on a used car to replace it, and we owned it for all of one week, before a 16-year-old kid (obviously not paying attention to driving) rear-ended it while my wife was stopped at an intersection. I wasn't in the car for the 2nd accident, but my wife injured her neck from whiplash and my 3-year old was quite traumatized. Fortunately again, both of them will be OK. So needless to say, my holiday season was very eventful, and not in a good way. Life is starting to return back to normal, and I finally have the time to participate in the forum again. It's good to be back, and I'm looking forward to once again complimenting fellow TVWBB members on the great cooking that happens here.
Before posting photos of the cook, I thought I'd share some photos of the 2nd accident. My wife and kid were lucky to walk away from this one.

Here's a photo of the "cap" portion of the top sirloin, which I seasoned with salt, pepper, and granulated garlic. It was cooked on the old Performer at 300°F for about two hours, with Rockwood Lump Charcoal as the fuel and a piece of Texas post oak for smoke.

A couple shots of the sirloin resting after coming off the grill, and during carving. The meat was a little overcooked for my tastes, but it still made for good eating.
