Smoke Day Weekend 2025 - Days 1 & 2

Happy Smoke Day to Chris and all - Good to see @Jim Lampe checking in.... Don't know what it is, but all of a sudden I have urge to throw on a little Jesse Colin Young...? :p

We started our celebration on Friday - Doris made a tavern pizza on the Genesis - I'm not exactly sure how she does it - I usually just sit back and let the magic unfold... This time I snapped a few shots along the way....

It starts with heating up the stone which site on top of an crusty old version of one these Weber Grilling Racks. Once that's heated up, on goes the pizza with just the sauce and garlic:

After that cooks for a bit, on goes the cheese and pepperoni:

For Saturday of Smoke Day Weekend, we did some baby backs - Doris made a tray of rolls: ( I had to sample a couple before i got a picture...oops! )

After dinner, I tried to get Goldie to pose for a shot... wasn't happening..... hope everyone enjoys the weekend!

Man there's so much to love, the place, the pizza and those ribs! That's how it's done Peter! I'm envious of your Cedars. I've got the Sooty mold on so many of mine. I've cut down > 25 Cedars and probably have another 12 or so to go. The good news is it opened the place up, but the sad news, my yard doesn't look near as nice as your. Enjoy your weekend!
