Slow N Sear EasySpin Grill Grate for 22" Kettle

Slow N Sear recently had a sale on their EasySpin grate that was 10% off, two free bottles of rub, and free two day shipping.

I've been on the fence about buying a SS grate, but thought this was a pretty good deal, so I jumped on it. $54 isn't really that much more than the Weber GBS grate.

I've got two Performer grills and they both have the GBS grate. That grate is amazing if you are using a Vortex or when using a Wok or other GBS accessory....but they are kind of annoying to move around since the center piece falls out pretty easily.

First thoughts on the EasySpin grate is it feels solid. Grate lines are nice and straight and I love the single big flip side. It is about the same gauge/thickness as a standard Weber grate, but it's made out of stainless steel so hoping it will last a lot longer.

I'll post some follow-up after I get to cook on it.

I'm making a frankenstein kettle to keep over at my mother's house so I have a kettle to grill on while visiting her. I needed a grate for that kettle, so figured I'd put one of my old GBS grates on that grill. That made buying this one much more of a no-brainer for me.

I didn't know these were stainless. (y)

The whole concept of "easy spin" baffled me because I haven't had any trouble turning a grate on any Weber.

Stainless steel and the one big hinged opening were the key points for me. Not sure I will use the easy spin very often.

I've still got the KillaGrilla stainless steel grate on the wish list for the upcoming Christmas. It's a nice beefier grate, but I can't bring myself to drop that kind of money on a grate....but would be very grateful if my wife or someone else gifted one to me!

My SNS Stainless Steel EasySpin Grate sits permanently atop my Weber Performer Deluxe with the Stock Weber GBS Crome Grate now used mainly as a back-up when Grilling some Chicken Wings using a medium-size Vortex.

No pictures to show, but I've cooked on this grate a few times now.
It's a nice grate, no issues to report.
Sure is nice not having to worry about the center piece falling out, like I always have to do with the GBS grate.

At $54, or even the full $60, this is an excellent value for the grate. A standard Weber grate with the flip ups on either side is $30. So this is 2x the price, but with it being made of SS it'll easily last 2x longer and likely much much longer.
