This is one of the kids favorite cooks(it´s pretty darn good)

And it was a while since we did it last time.

Here We go:

First of the meat stew. Onion/ground pork/beef(50/50),shrooms,tomatoes,basil,chili,paprika,salt/pepper.
Start of with browning the meat/onions. Add tomatoes/shrooms. Then the spices and let it simmer for about 2.5 hours indirect. Here is a pic half way in.

We took some buns and removed the center so we could fit more stew. Then topped of with cheese(blue for me and Emilie a mild one for the kids)

Let them go indirect untill the buns are a bit crispy and the cheese is melted.

Served with a simple salad

Oscar was the first to down his SJ.

Thanks for your time!

I have never seen this before. Thanks for sharing....looks like you made someone happy with this cook!

They never served those sloppy Joe's in the school cafeteria. (maybe I wouldn't have brown bagged it as much)! ;)

Love it all DW!

where's the 'after' shot when Oscar gets some of that goodness on his pretty green shirt:D

Oscar is a lucky guy, (great photo). I’ve never seen it done like this before. As usual, here’s another one from you I have to try. It looks delicious. Thanks!
