For a Skyline lid it looks pretty good, nice job. Unfortunately these same lids almost always have fade on the top of them.
If it makes you feel any better, your lid is in nicer shape than mine is. I would use my Skyline as a daily driver, but the lid isn't nice enough to do a major restoration of the whole grill.Yea its not horrible but definitely not perfect
Did you have those end caps powder coated?
Yep, it does what wiping oil on it does. Doesn't "solve" it but it sure looks better than nothing at all. I did something like it when I was selling a black Genesis B a while back
They get dirty pretty quick outside, it won't matter.Yea I thought the silicone might last longer then the cooking spray ... who knows

It should. After all silicone has to get awfully hot to burn away. Get it hot a few times and see what happensYea I thought the silicone might last longer then the cooking spray ... who knows
Didn't you get that black durawood grill to use on this one? Also, the badge I high heated and high heat cleared. And the handle is the grey one I sprayed with SEM trim black.

Why not.But I sprayed that handle before i got that black durawood so i figure I should use the one i sprayed and see how it holds up
Why not.
