I haven't been good about posting pictures, so here is an old one - skirt steaks with a marinade supplied by Tony R.
The marinade -
1 tbs black pepper, onion powder , garlic powder, cummin, salt,
3 large oranges
2 limes or lemons.
1/2 onion sliced
1/2 bunch of cilantro
1 teaspoon of Mexican oregano crushed.
6 oz Mexican Beer
** I used some tequila and more oranges / limes as result of being short on beer...

These were awesome - Marinade was really easy to put together, let 'em soak for 2-4 hours and then a quick, hot grill. Next time we have we will make a little chimol (Central American salsa - not much different from any other...just what we call it!).

Thanks Tony!!! Encourage others to try this simple but tasty marinade for steaks...

Thanks for checking out the grillin'!

Nice. One suggestion, you can cut those skirts in half which allows you to grill the thin, narrow part less than the rest.

I have been looking for a good skirt steak marinade, can't wait to try it this weekend. Thanks for the post!
