i ordered four pork steaks from local Harry Hansen's Meat Service five miles from my home in Raymond, Wisconsin.
asked to have them cut 1 to 1 and one half inches, i got four 1 and one half inch pork steaks. froze two, cook two.
seasoned them with Penzey's BBQ3000 and Blues Hog rub.
Used the Weber 26" OTG fueled by Kingsford.
On the kettle at 430pm and sauced off at 645pm cooked indirect at about 300º to 350ºF with Hickory Country hickory wood chunks.
Once the 38 millimeter pork steaks were done, i brushed on some Maull's Kansas City style barbecue sauce then cooked a few more minutes each side.
Served deliciously with sautéed baby carrots and Dean's Iron Skillet Baked Potatoes.

Looks just great Jim. The other night I smoked/grilled four small pork steaks myself using your advice. I had cut them from a butt, and they were a bit thin, but all seemed to work out well. I grilled indirectly on the OTG for a couple hours with a small bit of cherry wood for smoke. Used my own pork rub and didn't sauce until I took them off. I was surprised how tender and juicy they were. Will definitely do again. Sorry no pics...
