Sigh... no one bought the redhead Genesis 3 on the local CL....so I bought it :P


 
I guess that other than in AZ that is pretty much to be expected for a grill that is at least 30 years old. If we were close I would try to work out a swap of a full grill and regular side burner for the unique old parts and original side burner that one has. I think you can ultimately use those parts to make a very cool grill that will make up for the disappointing aspects of what you got.
 
It sat in my car all weekend and I didn't get a chance to look at it until this morning.... This grill is a basket case!

All of the frame pieces have rust (I have frame parts in inventory to replace them all, but still)

How far did you have to travel for this one?
 
It was in Somerville.

I have it in pieces at the moment. I'm eventually going to rebuild it using frame pieces from a later grill.
 
Nice pickup JKim! Can't wait to see the final product! Bit of a ride for ya to Somerville but it will be worth it when done!
