Side Burner

I have a Genesis 2000 grill (propane) that I would LOVE to have a side burner for. I've been scouring the market around here and haven't come up with anything yet. I'm wondering if any of you folks have experience with this? I'm wondering if I can retrofit something else? I can find plenty of junky grills with a side burner that I could probably work out. I have access to a good supply of heavy sheet metal/steel and some tools to work it with.

Love to hear your advice.
 
My advice is to either hope someone here has one to sell to you or just keep your eyes open for a donor grill. They are out there, just not plentiful. Get your 2000 fixed up and running and enjoy cooking on it while keeping your eyes on the sale sites like CL and FB MP. Then, when you find your donor grill, jump on it and retrofit it to your 2000 to make it a 3000.

It will happen. I have learned to be patient and not feel like a good deal will never pop up again. It will and always does, it just takes some time and patience.
