Hi all,

Been a regular on the SmokingMeatForums but never have journeyed much over here. Used to own a Smoke Hollow until one of my co-workers showed me the glorious WSM! Sold that propane smoker and picked up an 18.5" Weber and haven't looked back since.

I smoke ribs, sausage, pork butts/shoulders, and chicken. Did 1 brisket last year and it flopped so been reading up on it again and will try again this year.

Can't get enough of smoking meat for sure. Could do this all day every day.

My goal is to get good at brisket and introduce how awesome that meat is. Here in SC it's pulled pork heaven for sure.
 
Welcome aboard. Im sure you will enjoy the WSM. I like mine a lot, just dont have enough time. Give a shout sometime, I'm just a few miles down hwy 14 at Woodruff Road area.
 
Hey you guys in this thread from the upstate SC area: where do you buy your brisket? I moved here not too long ago and have had trouble finding a whole packer anywhere.
 
Hey all, thanks for the warm welcome. I'll def be posting some pics of my brisket once I get my smoker out of storage (I'm moving next week). I'd like to find out where whole packers can be bought as well. I typically buy my meat at Publix and they've been really good at custom cutting ribs or butts for me from time to time. Might have to ask if they have packers.
