SGC temp control port?

Hello all. So I have been using my summit Grilling Center for a few weeks now but today is the first time doing a long haul pork butt. There is a 3/4” port underneath Which is right under the charcoal grate. I am assuming this is to be used for hooking up a temperature control unit. Is anyone using this port that way? If so would love some advice on making the connection. I tried using my pitmaster IQ and I can’t the spreader on the bolt to pass through since the start of the wall for the double wall starts there and is in the way. Anyway I thought I would find out if anyone is using this port that way and how they are achieving a connection with the fan hose.

Yep, that's what it's for. This guy was using the CyberQ (now discontinued) on his Summit charcoal, says he did some research before settling on it. There's a photo of the blower connected to the hole at the end of the thread. Maybe BBQ Guru has that same blower with a different controller.
