securing the bottom grill in a 22.5 WSM

I noticed while building my new 22.5 that the bottom grill does not stay stationary as it does on the 18.5. Not the end of the world but any easy fixes to keep from sliding around?

I like it where I can easily slide my bottom grate around. That way I can access all the bottom grate meat through the door if I don't want to remove the top grate(s). I use a grate tool to rotate the bottom grate as needed, and even most average thickness butts can be pulled off the smoker through the door as long as they're not wrapped in foil.

I have an 18.5 and I never really noticed that phenomenon . What keeps the grate on yours from rotating?
And what would make it turn while you're cooking? ( not trying to be a jerk , just wondering)

If the bottom rack feels too loose on it's perch, you could always add a washer or 2 behind each strap to tighten up the space.

Like You and Dave, mine does move around a bit more than my 18.5"
As long as it stays on the straps, I wouldn't worry about it.:wsm:
