Saturday Smoke: burgers, brats and mac

Used the smoker for the first time at the new place on Saturday. Smoked beer brats, burgers with diced jalapeno and onion inside and homemade mac. I smoked for about an hour and a half @ 215. Used a 2 small chunks of apple wood. First time trying burgers and they were delicious!

Looks really good!! How were the burgers, did they dry out any?

Burgers were great! I used a higher fat content than I normally would with burgers on a grill. I used 85/15. I would say they were on the borderline of medium well to well done but still juicy and did not need any condiments. Internal temp was about 160.
 
Interesting. Burgers look delicious, but I wonder about the texture on them without any direct sear. Sure they tasted great. I'll take a little of everything please

The texture felt like a regular burger. If anything maybe a little "crust type" (in a good way) on the outside that formed and helped lock the juices inside.
 
Everything looks great, I would guess that the burgers had a texture similar to the top of a meatloaf which I would like.
