saltimbocca

Wolgast

TVWBB Olympian
Found some decent looking veal(cut out from the inside thigh) and banked them out like a snitzel. Salt/black pepper and a peice of prosciutto and a few sage leaves ontop. Everything is secured with some toothpics.

Here we go:

Started a few small taters, spring onion,a red bell, garlic bread and some basil infused cherry maters.

A great tip to remove the skin from a grilled Bell. Put it in some paper towels and wet it with cold water....Wait 5 min and its a breeze to remove the skin.

The veal hits the grill, and i added some cheese a Feta-style one. Cant stand halloumi(texture wise) but i still wanted some grilled cheese to go with this dish. Turned out ok.

Just a few min/side...After the Flip:

Everything is done:

Untill next time take care ppl!

Wolgast, I love how you roll.
Are you cooking on a big green egg style of grill? Looks to be ceramic of some type.
Great looking meal.

Oh Yeah, Daniel is Back!

Knockout cook, knockout photography, and a knockout of a wife!
(fess up, Emilie did the food arrangements right?)

Get real, people. There's no way 1 couple can eat that much food. They just nibble at it, then give the rest to the thankful crew filming the show that's about to take over the Food Network!!

WANNA BET!?! Shirt, I could myself!

Ha, actually, I was going to put "2 Swedes" in place of "1 couple," but thought I might get in trouble!
Of course, Mr. Lampe, I had your mountainous plates in mind. I would never question the appetite of a mad Wisconsonian (?).

Jeff: Its a cheramic grill as you said...But its the Primo oval XL. But i cook on my Weber kettle just as mutch. The posted ones seems to favour my Primo lately.(witch is not that great on a weberBBQ site) But i use all my cookers all the same.

BoB: Emilie did nothing but stand in the way of this cook!
