Ribs for my grandkids

Four racks (two baby backs, two St. Louis) are cooking over B&B lump, with hickory chunks for smoke. They were seasoned with Memphis Dust rub. I hope to eat them around 5pm tonight. My son and his family are visiting from Brooklyn, so I'll have both of my children, their spouses, and five grandchildren here for dinner. No pressure at all.😄fd44ef04-d5fc-4666-8bac-5a6c96472570-1_all_11120.jpg

I was so busy cutting and serving ribs that I forgot to take any pics. The family ate the two racks of St. Louis spares and half a rack of baby backs (leaving me 1-1/2 racks of baby backs, which I'll share with my daughter to thank her for the big dish of mac and cheese she made). We had ribs, macaroni and cheese, veggies and dip, watermelon, and peach cobbler, and I got the pleasure of cooking for the family. And temperatures were in the 70s instead of the 90s we've had for the past ten days. So I'm feeling good tonight. Alchemists tried to turn lead into gold, but the real magic turns charcoal into smiles. 😁

Sounds like the pressure relief valve didn't pop and you nailed the rib cook.
Great sides and a happy family..
