Ribeyes and strips with compound butter and shrimp!

Just a quick little post here. Am down on the Cape with Kate's family and last night was steak night. Had 4 rib eyes and 4 strips. We picked up at the local market some shrimp to make it a surf and turf meal. Kate whipped up some blue cheese compound butter, which went great on the steaks. We should of put it on when I first flipped them, but we weren't sure at first who wanted it on their steaks. We served the steaks with caramelized onions, grilled asparagus, sauteed mushrooms, and of course shrimp!

Onto the more important pictures (or lack there of):

Shrimp and asparagus on the grill. Shrimp and asparagus was done up with just salt and pepper, didn't get a snap of the steaks on the grill or before it.

Steaks after taking them off, left one on for those who wanted it done more than medium rare, was quite happy with the marks I got off the grill here:

All in all went really well, they came out pretty much perfectly medium rare and everyone had a great time!

Until next time,

That plated steak is cooked perfectly, just the way I like them. The shrimp and compound butter is an extra treat. Nice job.

Very nice!!! With all those different things to dress up that steak you get a different taste with every bite, well done!!
