Rib steak, mushrooms and taters

Bought a new cast iron skillet today, so I thought I'd break it in with a pan seared steak.

I forgot to take pictures of the mushrooms, but they were done i a sauce pan with a big chunk of butter and a healthy dose of worcester sauce, reduces until it was a nice gravy like sauce left.

The taters were left over from last night and were begging to be thrown into the new skillet while the steak was resting.

Paulaner is certainly a favourite import...
cookin' that BEAUTIFUL steak in a cast iron skillet would not be my favourite option, but Steve, how you like it is your call.

That crusty rib chop looks amazing. I love cooking burgers like that, too. I like to mix it up and try different methods. Who wants the same steak everytime. Looks great, thanks for posting, and keep enjoying the new skillet.
