What's the problem that has you second guessing?
It is a gadget, we have the rotiss, we're all freaks-I don't get it?
Seriously, I love the R-O-L and it is just another tool in the box, but when I got my 8"EZ-Que a couple years ago people were saying the same thing, and I straddled the fence before finally jumping-and I'm glad I did! I enjoy rotisserie cooking and the cradle system upped my game-you can keep the spit forks!
The Rib-O-Lator will hold a lot of food, and I'm in the same boat as some here- we can't cook all that meat, so I understand the hesitance of some to get one. You don't have to use all four trays, it is a good idea to evenly balance the meats in them, but I've never had any problem with any of my cooks and I've posted pics of the R-O-L in use on my Performer, Cajun Bandit and Drum Smoker here and at the Brethren site, and there is a You-Tube vid of one of my rib cooks on the Cajun Bandit OTS.
When I first posted info here about the Rib-O-Lator, I admitted I was skeptical about it when I first saw it in action on a GAS Grill, and kind of thumbed my nose at it, but realized it was something I "needed in my arsenal!"
So it may not be for everyone, but I feel its a deal.
But then again I spent $9 on the Char-Broil rotis basket and have fun with it too!
I plan to use the Rib-O-Lator in Competition next year, and used the CB basket on my First Place and 180 Perfect Score in Chicken last Summer in Seattle.
BTW-I would even recommend it to the Gas grillers out there-with the smoker box, it will produce quality eats.
