You and me both Bruce! There has to be some nice ones left out there. I do have a couple other really nice black lids with almost no fade on them and still like the black ones the best.Wish I could find a Skyline lid that was in that good of condition.
I agree! Looks like new. Maybe paint the kettle in the logo red for a little added pop?
I believe it was a 2003 and I got it at a yard sale in 2008 for $35. It was my personal grill from 2008 until July 2020 when I refurb'd it. Lets say It was well taken care and the fade was almost non existent! I sold it to a buddy of mine after I found the Genesis 1000 Red Head I'm currently working on. He got a real good deal!!! But the ole Black grill was a work horse and easy on the eyes IMO !!Nothing wrong with the classic black as long as it doesn't suffer from the Weber Fade.
Agreed. Even with almost no care they lasted pretty well!Good story. Amazing how those old classic Genesis grills last with a bit of care. Nothing like the Chinesium tin cans that get replaced every three years.
