Restored a Genesis 3000 - Family Heirloom

My bolt hole is in the off center, and the end is open. Anyone have a spare side?

Back at work - my dad had a weber he got in a trash pile sitting for about 20 years down in the woods. It easily gave up it's lid to be a donor for the end pieces. I'd use that lid as it looks great, but it's a much smaller one (lengthwise).

The end pieces came apart pretty well, I was able to salvage enough bolts; had to cut some off with the angle grinder.

Question: What should I do about the black porcelainized enamel? It is very faded on the top (almost white). I can let it be, but I sure would like it to look good again.

In the meantime, I picked up this old girl for $40, came with a full 20# LP tank, as well as a good cover. It gives me motivation to get the OG back up and running.

Nothing you can do about the faded porcelain other than to have it stripped and re-coated. Remember it's NOT paint or enamel. It's literally glass fused to the steel.

Unfortunately can't do anything about the faded porcelain lid except to find a replacement.
Great the the lid end caps you found are the same style as your original ones with the open ends where the handle is.
You say the doner lid is shorter length wise? Was it a Genesis Jr lid? Like this?
