Replacement remote thermo after 10 years

Well, my Mav ET732 refuses to send the temps to my receiver anymore. AND the receiver is pretty well done as well. Can't use ANY of the buttons on it. It is basically locked at whatever the last settings were. The sender works fine but the receiver disconnects after 5 minutes (and is only 10ft away in the open).

New batts in both units so .....time for a new one I guess.

And I can't find anything under $100 that monitors 1 meat product and ambient temp in the WSM. Most all have multiple meat probes and no ambient temp probe.

I'm really at a loss here as I can't find any recommendations anywhere. Only unit I did find similar was ET73 which got pretty poor reviews (basically, what I am experiencing with my 10+ yr old unit vs that brand new one).

Anyone have suggestions for under $100 CDN ? I don't need 4 meat probes. I want 1 meat probe and 1 ambient temp probe. Would prefer wifi but if bluetooth limits me $ wise, so be it.

I have several of the round dots just for roasts. This one seems newer.
Edit: Never mind I see you want remote.

Take a look at Chef IQ, ThermoPro as well has a new one that is both Bluetooth and WIFI I also have GovveLife noted in another thread. I still cannot make a total judgement on it yet. Overall pretty decent though. The cool thing about Chef IQ is they're totally sealed even deep fryer proof.

ya thanks. I think I need to get with 2025 pricing. Thermoworks (vs Thermopro) is the one I'm thinking about after more research.

Good timing.
Thermoworks is having a flash sale on the Smoke today. $54.00?
That's a no-brainer...

Not in the Great White North.

AND we still have to deal with tariffs is why I'm looking at all possiblities.

That’s an RFX (wireless probes to a gateway that connects to your WiFi)

You want the Smoke 2 channel $55 flash sale in US today (wired probes to a display that transmits to a remote - similar to what I remember of Mavericks)
