Reformed Vents

I appear to have accidently slightly deformed one of my bottom vent covers. I think the elastic from the cover got hooked up in the side of the vent and it bent out of shape (away from the dome). Does anyone have any ideas how I can get it back into the very nice form fitting shape that would allow me to regulate air flow again?

I don't know if you ever got this resolved or not. I've learned that you can drill-out the rivet and replace the damper with a new one, but then you have to use a screw, nut and washer to fasten the damper. You might be able to find a pop rivet that will work, but the 1/4" diameter size is a bit unusual.
