So I told myself I would never touch them because well.....they are hot. It’s amazing because it seems like you have to do something stupid once to learn. It’s like a do before think. Oh I’m just going to move this over a bit I don’t think it’s in the right spot........I know I’m not the only one.

I have pulled them out with bare hands. Sad part is I keep looking at them and saying... only half a second... ouch.

I once grabbed a cast iron skillet out the the oven without a towel on the handle. Never done that again.

Remember the scene in Home Alone where he grabs the red hot door knob? Yeah been there done that as well on a screaming hot pan I took out of a VERY hot oven. Set it on the stove and totally forgot where it had just come from. Had a nice outline of the Lodge handle scorched into my hand
