Dang. Sweet Baby Ray's is too hot? I assume you know it's not in the rub or mop/spritz. Well.. actually, most of the better sauces will have as much or probably more spice than the Sweet Baby Rays'.
I'd suggest try cooking EVERYTHING with a little more spice than what you already are, maybe gradually. Doctors will tell you that most spices are really good for you. Just don't tell the kids, that.
