Recommendation for stainless bars for a Silver B

One huge thing is this. Your grates are what you will directly interact with every time you cook on that grill. Skimp on quality and it will haunt you every time you cook. The thicker the rods, the sturdier the grates will be, won't flex, easier to keep clean, better "marks" if that's what you're all about and if they're spaced well (some I swear you could drop an entire T-Bone through, much more enjoyable to cook on. If you can stick your finger between the bars it's too much

Except for not being stainless Steel the Weber GBS grate is A-OK.
When I upgraded my silver b from cast iron, I went grill grates. Which gives you both griddle and grate. I subsequently upgraded my other grill from SS rods to GGs.

Opinions on those differ. As you can see by prior threads.

For me, total awesome sauce. Best grate option available imo.

My RCPlanebuyer grates were .414 inchs between grates. So, lets say anything much more than a half inch is too big. Otherwise, stuff like Asparagus is in grave danger of falling through if it gets twisted around. Even a McDonalds 1/4 pounder could fall through a gap much bigger than a half inch.
