You can buy a cheap RTL based USB key and decode these ADS-B signals in real time in your area with dump1090

Pretty cool. I live about 5 blocks from MSP airport in Minneapolis. So I can hear the plane take off and watch it fly away on the computer!

Not sure what this ones doing, but I clicked on one plane NE of Toronto, on its way from Dallas to Daytona. Sounds like the long way to me to go that way.

check this one out Len - you might find it interesting.... looks a little beyond me but I'm always interested in things like this (before my first spectrum analyzer I worked with a lower end winradio <didn't watch a wide enough band for what I was trying to do>)
