Saturday we went down the Eastern Market to pick up some produce, and
of course lots of PORK. From our friends at Gaier farms, one of two local farmers
who sell their fresh and smoked pork products at the market, from Thanksgiving
to Easter.
Whole piglet anyone. I was this_ close to buying this little guy.
Fresh pork bellys, which we purchased 7.5 lbs of. All of this pork was alive and squealing Wednesday,
doesn't get much fresher then then this. Fried some up fresh (a.k.a. side pork) when we got home
the rest is for bacon.
Two of the six chops, the other four went in the chest freezer.
The makings for head cheese.
Two chops on the grill, along with some Rosemary & Dijon skins and knob onions.
All purchsed at the Eastern Market.
Unfortunately no money pics, too many of these.
Knickerbocker Gin martinis w/anchoy and maytag blue stuffed olives.
Thanks for looking. Chok Dee, Mack.
