Q2800+


 
I’ve loved my Q1200. Best portable grill I’ve had. I use it quite a bit at home as well for quick cooks.

This Q2800N seems like improvements in every way. Anyone cook on one yet? Any quirks I should be aware of?

If not, it’ll go on the top of the list for my Father’s Day gift 😆
 
Well, it might be an improvement in most ways, but I think they should have done a better job shoring up the side tables a bit. They still seem a little flimsy to me. Otherwise, it sure seems like an improvement over the Q200/2000.

Bruce, the side tables were worthless on my 1200. I took them off. They’re more of a liability.
 
I am going to sell my Q2200 and get the Q2800+
I want the full Q2800 griddle
I want a griddle type grill and the Q2800 will be perfect for my needs.

I am not seeing a portable cart or full cover available for it yet.

just pulled the trigger on Q2800N+ Flame Red
ordered the full size griddle.
The previous Weber Q's it was not advised to operator with full size griddle, apparently this one Q2800 has a specific full size griddle insert that will work with it, I will have my griddle and a nice flame red Weber Q without having to buy a separate stand alone griddle. The dual burner and portability make this a game changer for me.

Weber offers a military discount which is nice. HD & Lowes also offer that, but don't have all the accessories available. I went to 2 local Ace hardware stores and they could only get the Q2800 in the black. HD can order the flame red, if ordering I may as well order directly from Weber.

Now time to sell my Q2200..

I didn't realize that Weber had a military discount. Good to know. I hope that works on parts as well.
