Pulled pork sandwiches, slaw on top or bottom?


 
Slaw on top is my preference - probably because that is the way I have always done it. That is also the way it is served in all the BBQ joints around here.

No. 5 sauce on top bun. Meat on bottom bun. Slaw on top of meat.

I used to think slaw on sandwich was dumb, but my approach was changed by using an Alton Brown slaw recipe that uses more favors like pickle juice and dry mustard, as opposed to tons of mayo like many folks make. For the bit of mayo called for, I substitute Greekyogurt for most of it. And keep it to the dry side.
