Prime Tri Tip at CostCo - $5.35/lb!

Dropped into CostCo for no particular reason today, and came upon the prime "bulk" tri tip packages at $5.35/lb. Well, I couldn't leave them there, so I picked through them, and took the best looking one home. I think the choice tri tips (in the two-pack) were 6.39/lb.

For those in the Bay Area, I was at CostCo in Mountain View.

Wow, Prime for < $6 that's amazing. Last year, that would have been $15+

That's a great price, I can get USDA Prime TT for 5.99 and Veal TT for 4.99 straight from the slaughter house.

Rob, I just busted open the cryovac today to vac seal the TT's individually. There were four, and they were relatively close in weight:

8 hours sous vide at 125, then seared off and sliced. They were SO good!
