Got lucky today and found some prime ny strip regularly $18 a pound for $7 a pound.
It was too good to be true, so I decided to make it steak night.

Corn on the cob and queso poblano chicken sausage were the sides....Good eats!

Omar,

Dang that looks good. I've got a couple ribeyes waiting for me when I get off work at noon.

But what are queso poblano chicken sausage?

Is that something I can get at a Mexican grocer?

Never thought of sausage as a side dish before. I'm definitely going to now. Everything looks great.

Thanks everyone for the comments.
Mike- I cant bring myself to get the blonde dirty yet... maybe someday. For now my trusty performer will get the job done.

Matt- I tried them for the first time last night and they were DELICIOUS. Apparently only HEB sells them around here, so I doubt you can find them at a carniceria. Here is a pic -

Great Cook! Depending on which side of town you are on you can also find good tri tip at HEB, but flat iron I have only found at Kroger, and they don't have tri tip. Great area to live in to find meat, I just haven't found a one stop shop yet.

Thanks, Omar.

We have a Mexican grocer in town who butchers. Even if he doesn't have those sausages, you've inspired me to see what they do have.

pretty daggum good lookin' cookin' omar!
better hide those poblano links from me dude, i'll eet those in a milwaukee minute!
