Even the costco in the Peoples' Republic of Ann Arbor (grin) recently had an 18lb brisket at 2.69/lb.

As a contractor, always referred Santa Monica, CA as the Peoples' Republic. Won't go into why of course. Wait, I live in California, so I am thinking it should just be Peoples' Republic of Calif. (grin, grin)
