Picked up a nice bone in shoulder yesterday. Pulled pork and football sounded pretty good for Sunday.

Around 8 pm I took the cover off the SmokeFire and with our crazy wet winter I had some mold to clean. It was too late to do that last night so I punted and switched to the Summit Kamado, I loaded it up with a bag of Jealous Devil briquettes and.4 chunks of pecan.
I had never fired this thing up with the Venom so I was taking a chance on my 2 am cook.

Couldn’t get WiFi going,last night so I skipped it.

Fired up the snap jet and took it to 125, turned off gas and let it come to temp. I set it at 240 and it’s been rock solid from the jump.

Venom is new to me, and sounds like something I'll need to look into as I'm soon to be a WSK owner. In your forthcoming pictures, can you dedicate one to this Venom thing?

WSK is rock solid with natural airflow. I have no blower devices installed and WSK is bulletproof.
 
Wow; look at that subtle smoke.
Didn’t really notice that until you mentioned it, definitely some nice clean smoke. I love jealous devil lump and was looking forward to trying the briquettes.

So my thoughts on the WSK and the venom are two huge thumbs up!! Talk about set it and forget it, it’s crazy how well the WSK has held temps.

This was spur of the moment so next time I’ll mess with the WiFi before I start cooking.

I have to turn the router to 2.4 only and then connect.

Hopefully the family likes the flavor we have always been happy with the level of smoke from the SmokeFire.

She’s wrapped and getting ready for some football, picked up some Hawaiian buns regular and pretzel and will whip up some slaw. LFG. I’m on the Ravens today and could never pull for LA but man them Eagles fans.

The rebuild at the house has sapped my soul and I haven’t been working the Q like I should. This was an easy way back in.

Now I wanna do a brisket. I can definitely see the SmokeFire ending up at someone else’s house when we move home.
Anybody going to Jon’s this summer??
