Rack of spareribs with Memphis Dust rub on a HeaterMeter v4.2.2 + rotodamper w/ full-time blower (Min: 0% Max: 100%) + default PID parameters. I've got an ET-72/73 High Heat strapped to the bare thermocouple for comparison. Bonus noise plot!

EDIT @1800 UTC: Switched servo to full open/close only to see how at affects the fan operation. The TruVolt(tm) output seems to really lower the amount of air the fan moves vs the PWM mode when at lower speeds. It probably adds a lot of control on the lower end but it makes it look like a lot more blower speed is needed to maintain the same temperature. It's also ridiculously quiet I keep looking to see if it is running.

@1830 UTC: Switched back to normal servo operation as the fan wasn't even running any more.

Okay, I need to figure out how to post my HM plots here. But, wow... this went so well. I cooked a brisket and pork butt for Mother's Day, and all went great! I built a fan setup for my Vision Kamado Classic yesterday, and fired up the grill at 6:00 AM this morning. The blower really helped to get the lump charcoal fired up, and after an initial overshoot, I dialed in the pit to about 260. The pork but was placed on the bottom rack in an aluminum tray filled with some homebrew milk stout (after a generous overnight rub), with a 15 lb packer brisket on the top rack. I added some hickory chunks for nice smoke, and after starting the charcoal using a MAPP torch, the smoker really started producing lots of smoke. This settled down after I added the meat, and after cranking up to about 350, I closed down the top vent on the pit to about 1/8 inch slits and the pit settled down to 260 and remained this way for pretty much the rest of the cook. The pork ended up finishing about an hour earlier than the brisket, and so I wrapped it and placed in the oven at 200F. When the brisket was nearing about 190F, I placed it in an aluminum tray on the bottom rack, and poured in some of the milk stout. After another hour, I pulled it out at about 200 and let it rest in the tray with some aluminum foil on top. Both turned out perfect and I received many compliments. This was overall a great cook, and has given me confidence to try an overnight 18 hour cook next time. Lots of kudos on the HeaterMeter, BTW. Everyone thought it was the coolest thing!

Cooking Brisket on Gator Pit offset. Of course, once I got everything set up, powered on the Heatmeter (4.0 version), the blower wouldn't turn on. Meat was prepped and fire was going so no turning back. Had to remove blower unit and reattach damper. Using manual fire control until I figure out what happened to blower. No shorts in cable (checked resistance) and appears that I am not getting 12v dc out of fan jack with fan set at 100%. Any troubleshooting tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

Possibly a cold solder joint at the MOSFET

Made a new UDS, doing an over night burn. It also looks like my pit probe is way off, I offset it -64 degrees :( time for some new probes I got 5 years out of that probe, lol.

I first thought my probes were way off, but I tested them on my older HM and they had different readings on it compared to the new HM. So, I re-soldered the resisters, probe connectors, and the 328. All seems better although my older et72/73 probe has a offset of 5 and one of my et732 probes(probe 1) has a offset of 13, I ordered a new thermoworks probe to give it a try as I have a tendency of leaving my probes out in the weather from time to time. The UDS has been pretty good, very air tight. It started at 7pm Saturday, going to get some chicken later today to atleast dmoke something:)
 
Just put a couple of baby back ribs on.

Finally getting a chance to try my HM 4.1 with a live cook. Also using Bryan's latest HM code with the new servo driver code.

Update 1:

Saw the time was incorrect on the HM, updated it via NTP, but that ended up nuking the graph data for the first couple of hours. The first hour was a little rough with temps going up to 240 and down to 215 but it's pretty much been holding steady since then. Should be done in another 70-90 minutes.
