Hi Folks

busy 26th Dec for me this year - had the Performer rotisserie running a 14lb Turkey, the baby WSM slow roasting two half shoulders of lamb (no pics) and my Medium BGE slow running a 12lb 4 rib fore rib!

also picked up a Thermopen in my presents - and my niece visited Austin ealrier in the year, picked me up a Salt Lick T hsirt and bottle of rub (she's my favourite!!!)

here are the boys warming up...

Beef pre-rub

Beef rubbed and on the Egg (rub of salt, pepper, mustard powder and flour)

Beef at temp - just prior to it's final sear

Beef during carving - got it SPOT ON!!!! Didn't last long I can tell you

Here's the Turkey getting a last minute boost on the egg after 4 hours going round and round on the Performer

cool Thermopen

Doing the UK proud there Chris.

All looks marvellous. Nice job mate.

And a HNY to you too.

Very fine looking cooks, Chris. That rib roast looks so delicious. Well the turkey does too. Would have loved to see the lamb shoulders. Very nice gifts too.

thanks Cliff - was a touch hectic with 15 to feed, so the lamb got missed. It fell off the bone and was pulled/shredded to serve...

Looks like you scored on some cool gifts and your niece sounds like a Score as well. The meal looks outstanding. The Rib Roast looks Top Notch!

Chris, that's great looking food. That beef looks out of this world...even before the cook.

Did you trim and tie it on your own or pick it up from the butcher like that?

Luke
it came like that - cut from a piece of 6 ribs (was sorely tempted to buy the whole piece!)
We're very lucky to have a great local butcher. His family farm locally and he knows exactly where all his produce comes from.
