Anyone ever tried to smoke a thick porterhouse on a WSM 22.5 and if so, what was the results....Reason I'm asking is that I have a steak lover in the family and they insist on steaks....Thanks
Can be done on Porterhouses the same or maybe better as there's more surface area.
If you want to do the whole cook on the WSM, make sure your fire is hot for the finish and just transfer your top grate right on top of the charcoal ring.
Oh it will be a few days Tony....I'm on the road in Kansas at the moment and out of hrs....lol....Life as a truckdriver....Anything you do at home, you do when the opprotunity presents itself....First cook will be pork butts cause my cooker is new and they say the first few cooks are "higher heat"....So, I'll try to have pics as I go along....
