Pork steaks, first time!

Ok, just so you know I haven't dropped off the face of the earth, here's a cook I did earlier this week. I had four smallish pork steaks that I had cut off a pork butt and froze the rest. Rubbed with kosher salt and my own blend of pork rub (pretty basic stuff) and set on the OTG to grill indirectly for a couple hours. The sweet potatoes were sprinkled with Penzeys Northwoods. Hey, it was handy. When finished, the steaks were simmered in some homemade sauce for a couple minutes. Very tender and juicy. I will do it again!

Thanks for looking. Hope all had a good weekend. - G

I love pork sirloin. (But, my favorite is under cream of mushroom soup, in a dutch oven, over about 2 hours @ 300 in a conventional oven. Then poured over white rice with canned green beans. yummers)

They look perfect Gary!
I'm sure they were better than a lot of St Louis backyard grillers turn out every weekend.
