pork loin and HH brisket

tried some texas bbg rub today on a small hh brisket.came out really nice.their brisket rub will be a nice change of pace now and then. also brined a 8 lb pork loin for the first time today. gonna have to put that in the rotation.

That brisket looks very good Tim, as for the pork loin, I've never done one I liked. I've never tried brining one either though. Seems like they practicly give away whole pork loins these days, they are always on sale at my local grocery. Could you post your brine, I should give it a try.

we used the brine, the apple butter and the glaze but not the sauce. my wife laughed at the 10 mustard seeds in the brine. almost too small to count. i might have slipped 14 in there
we'd only cooked the small flavored tenderloins. this thing was huge compared to what she usually brings home.
we're thinking some bone in chops next
 
Looks tasty to me, great ring on that brisket. I have done some loins that I brined with just Apple Cider Vinegar that were very tasty. Never done a real involved brine with them though.

Really...only 10 mustard seeds???
